Anybody have "connections" with shipping companies?
You would need a passport to drive it through Canada, you cant get back into the US without it.
If you pay for your Canadian gas/food/hotel/whatever with a American credit card they will convert it to USD for you and you only pay the USD equivalent.

Two of my brothers and myself rode our Harley's into Canada about 6 years ago on a 15 day road trip. We didn't have any passports. They did hold my oldest brother for about 3 hours while they cleared up some questions about his record. He beat some guy down pretty bad for talking bad to his wife. Guy deserved it.
Anyways, they finally let us in to Canada and coming back to the US was a breeze. The US border patrol was more interested in our bikes and what we'd done to them than who we were. Took about 3 mins to get back in to US after showing our Drivers Licenses.
I have to say, it was the FUNNEST road trip I've EVER done! Canada was beautiful, and the people were very nice. Gas prices were similar to California, so that was not too much shock. Learning the metric system was a challenge because our bikes did not have km/h on them. I finally realized I could change my TomTom Rider to show km/h, so we didn't get into trouble.
If you get the chance, I HIGHLY recommend doing the road trip. It's memories you will never forget.
Cruise Control set at 80 MPH up Highway 5 - Yeah, I was screwing around.

$30,000 bikes held by a 50 cent piece of rope on the Ferry.

At the Canadian Border. Brother in the middle had to go into a back room for a few hours.
He doesn't like to talk about those hours...

Beautiful Victoria, BC

Coming back home.

Need a passport or "enhanced license"(only available in bordering states I think) to get into Canada these days. Things are getting a lot tighter. 40 years ago it was come to a stop, "Anything to declare?", "Nope" and off you went.
Yup, only border states offer them because it is common to drive into Canada for a afternoon/night/gambling/prostitution trip.
VT is a border state, not sure if you can get them on a non border state.
I had to look it up!!!
Man I feel...well...stupid.
