Default Anybody know what this wire is for?

It was running from the RH taillight area behind this bulkhead, over the gas filling area, and clipped kind of behind the rear door jamb.

I have rear A/C. It's in between the quarter panel and the body too, so technically not an interior connector. The SLS system is mostly on the driver side too, so probably not related to that either.

The D2 Electrical Library will probably help you to identify the connector and its purpose by the colours of the wires.

Parking sensors is all I can come up with. If you still have bags in back, I’m pretty sure the air intake and filter is up there as well, but I don’t think there are any electrical connections.

EDIT: I don’t think it’s the parking sensors. I just poked around the RAVE (section 86) and the parking sensor module connector doesn’t look like that. Does it terminate around the C Pilar? If you have a 7 seater, it could be associated with the rear infotainment system.

Jeez, otherwise you got me stumped and I’m usually pretty good at that stuff. I think you mentioned you have rear AC? Maybe associated with that as well?

Haha, it's a real puzzle! It goes from the D pillar, stretches (and clips) along a path above the fuel filler port, and then ends, clipped again, just behind the C pillar.

It's not the infotainment, though I thought so at first, but those connectors are inside the car, this wire runs along the outside of that bulkhead.

Never was an SLS equipped disco, so no airbags.

Not rear AC either, as all that equipment is on the other side.

Truly stumped myself haha.

Man, I’m an idiot as I kept thinking it was on the left side. Sorry about that.

So how about this; Could it it be the harness for the towing? I’m seriously grabbing at straws, but maybe as that is behind the right tail light.

Possibly! Only thought why it might not be is because it's clipped going toward the front of the car. And yeah, so strange, zero info googling this. I can't imagine I'm the first person to wonder this out loud on the internet haha.

THATS IT. Why is it called that tho? Haha. I’m not in on the joke if there is one.
