The battery back-up sounder in a Land Rover Discovery 2 is a security system component that activates an alarm when the vehicle's 12V battery is disconnected, when an attempt is made to disconnect the alarm siren, or when an attempt is made to disconnect the battery back-up sounder itself. ...aaaaannnnnddddd snip snip bye bye lol. It was getting in the way of the little flaps on this part and ended up breaking the top flap, letting that area get pretty filthy behind the trim.
