Default Anybody smoking in North Jersey? ~ P0441

Anybody out there in North Jersey (north of rt. 80) with one of these Smoke generators/testers that can help me route out the source of my P0441 (Purge Flow) code? I have replaced the cap with an OEM and put in an OEM Purge Valve and the bloody code keeps popping up every couple of fill ups. I don't want to put this in the hands of the dealer to fix for obvious reasons. Thanks

I fought P0441 for a LONG time... I disregarded my Purge valve because I had recently replaced it. I smoke tested, pulled my hair out, nothing worked... Last ditch effort I replaced the purge valve again... it worked... as soon as I hooked it up, it started clicking away (purging)... I would recommend getting another purge valve (and making sure you are connecting to the right connector, and not the 2nd Air valve)... I use the Dorman purge valve... about $20 from NAPA or Amazon. HTH

The Dorman one sucks!

If your going to buy the Hyundai one go to the Hyundai dealership and get the OEM one. The Dorman (aftermarket Hyundai part) can't handle the heat of the Land Rover's engine bay and they become brittle and crack. They also click as soon as you put them in like primmus said. I put one in my brothers and we returned it the same day and put the Hyundai one from the dealership in there and all is well now. I bought it for 60$, which I'm not sure is too much cheaper than the LR OEM one.

Thanks!. I bought a OEM LR valve which is why I am expecting the thing to actually work. I will buy another one (not sure which yet) and give it a go and listen for clicking which I have never actually heard.

UPDATE: The OEM Hyundai Purge Valve purchased via Amazon fixed the P0441 problem. Go figure that the $100 OEM LR purge valve did not work.. Thanks for the tip to RE-Replace the valve guys!
