I've been wanting a more effective radiator. Despite all the cooling system mods performed, my last long uphill climb on a trail had me very concerned with the temperatures I witnessed. There are other mods I can do, but it feels like they're just bandaids to what I believe is the main issue: an insufficient radiator. I've been considering reaching out to Ron Davis Radiators for a custom unit. I'm not a fan of Ebay specials and would prefer a known manufacturer.

Will an old re-cored brass rad from a classic fit? does anyone know? Those should be a significant upgrade

From my research when doing my E-fan mod, no. IIR, the core sizes, mounting points, and hose connections were all different. The next closest fitting radiator was for the LR4, but its a bit shorter than the D2. Of course, anything can be made to fit, but as far as easy bolt in swaps go, not from what I've seen

that's what I figured. which is too bad bc I know of a good rad guy here that can really make those old rads pretty awesome. I need to find an old one and get it recored for my classic now that I mention it.
