Default Anyone have an alternator bracket laying around? Mine just shredded. Take a look.

Never seen this before. Started the truck this morning and it sounded like rocks were in the valve covers. Popped the hood and saw the idler pulley and arm going nuts. Shut it down removed the pulley and I see this, completely shredded.

Does anyone have one of these brackets laying around? Preferably one that isn’t destroyed.

Thanks,

Frank

Gotta give it to land rover, even after all these years they still managed to come up with something I had never seen before.

Reach out to Paul Grant I'm sure he has what you need

WOW that's UGLY! I can't say I've seen that failure before either.

At least there are some ERR7278 on ebay (Paul Grant's is the 1st listing).

I've got a spare just for that very reason! I've seen several of those explode recently.
