Default Anyone have experience with a Proline water pump?

I'm going to tackle my front engine cover leak and figure while I am doing it I may as well take care of my water pump too. The Proline water pump is $80 and the OE from AB is $180. I like to buy OEM whenever possible but I need a PAS pump also so the $100 saved could go towards that.

Anyone have a proline water pump installed?

I have no personal experience with one but all the reviews that I read all said not to use a Pro Line water pump, they all went bad inside of 6 months.

I needed a water pump, did research because the OEM was $240 at AB at the time.
I bought one off of e-bay for $80? and it is still in my garage in the box.
I have been waiting for over a year for mine, which was squeaking, to give up the ghost.
I need to just change it but unless mine starts squeaking again for stops working then I will wait until spring to replace it.

I kind of figured that, one can always hope. Mine is still good so may be I will just skip it and just do the water pump gasket, front cover gasket and oil pan gasket. And then when it starts to show signs of quitting I will replace it.

Check with your local Carquest and see if they can get you one. That's where I got mine, and the quality seemed to be at least OE if not possibly better. It came from Allmakes 4x4 out of the UK.

Can't remember, but it was cheaper than the cheap pump on AB.

If you live near Manhattan and want it 30% cheaper from the dealer E-mail me. I'll order it under my account and you can pick it up..

Sometimes they even give me 40% discounts..For example, I bought a cam sensor for 155 dollars from them, list price was like 400.00 something and cost for garages was like 310...

They give me good discounts cause we buy so much from them..
