Default Anyone have experience with the tf 3” heavy duty lift?

I will be installing this lift hopefully in the next few days, I also will install a tom woods front driveshaft. Eventually I will make bumpers and install a winch. Any idea the max tire size on a 16” rim I could get away with?
is there any other things I should address for drivability and or flex? I see all kinds of accessories like the spring cones, extended sway bar links, brake lines ect.

I'm on 3.5", but it's sagged a hair so really 3. I'm sitting on 285/75r16s and they're the perfect size IMO. Stock gears are a little sluggish, but plenty drivable. I even tow quite often and quite a bit of weight. I'll eventually go to 4.12 gears, but not in a huge rush unless the front diff I semi-broke really let's loose.

I'd give a 2nd on the 285/75 unless you can find 255/85 to me they just look perfect on a lifted Rover

thanks guys. I’ll probably go the 285 75 if I go all terrains. If I go muds it’ll be the 255 85. I too like the skinny tire look as long as there mud tires.
Lift kit and off road goodies showed up today 🙂

I've installed and used the TF 3inch lift before. I had great results with the ride quality and it lifted my D2 evenly. A few pointers though..... Before installing them spray the coil springs down with some clear coat, it'll keep the paint from just blowing off in the wind. Also I had issues with the diameter of the rear HD 3inch springs fitting around the coil spring isolator pads. I had to press them in or they'll end up not sitting inside the coil spring causing the lift to be uneven.

Besides that I have no complaints. I like the ride quality of the TF shocks as well.

The lift is in, along with new brakes, needs some new rubber 😁

hey Fastercat, did you take a measurement before and after the lift for actual lift?
