I was at the dealer the other day and a guy pulled up in an immaculate 97 that was the light turquoise color. We were checking each other's out and he said he got it at auction for $6K. I told him I got mine for $3K 4 years ago. When I told him all that I had done to it, he wanted to trade. I just think the price is too high for a D1. Heck, you can get D2's for $4k all day long, if you look.

It is amazing how much the market varies for these trucks.
I blue booked mine the other day and it booked ouot at $5500 at a dealer, $4200 private sale and $2800 trade in.
To me it is priceless.
Tornado is looking for one though.

also keep in mind that the dealer is off a main road in my area that is surrounded by insanely overpriced 1-3 million dollar homes,,, so i think they are aiming their prices based on the income of those types of people.

I don't know if my D1 qualifies as gorgeous but it definitely has character. I paid $3700 for mine last summer with 108,000 on it. $5800 is outrageous. I stopped to look at a white 04 SE7 the other day that was priced at $13900. When I checked blue book on it and added in everything I know the truck had and a few I just think it had it booked at $10,000. Everywhere in Colorado is super high pricing on Discoveries.
