anyone seen this winch bumper?

The nice thing about they Bottorf one is it will take any winch you want.

So checking out his site again he offers several options, whats the deal with the little guy bumper?
You can add a brush bar to it, and with the big bumper you can have nerfs or no nerfs?
Can someone help clear this up?
The little bumper guy with brush bar is $550.
The big one is $650 with no paint.
So why not save the $100?
I dont know, thats why I ask.
Opinions?

Ah your right. Now that I look that other bumper it has similar brush bars as Bottorf. I dont know why you would want at hitch mount in the front for a winch. But each to his own. Now I'm saving my pennies for this Winch.

They are so expensive and you dont use them that much! Nothing like having a $800 to $1200 dollar bill sitting on your front bumper.

I walked through TSC last night and for the first time noticed they have recovery gear at reasonable prices, plus a 8000# winch at $399.

The brush guard in question wouldn't be so bad if it had a winch carrier built in rather than just the receiver for the cradle. The cradle is acceptable for light, straight pulls but anything off angle or really stuck and you can damage the cradle, the receiver and the front end of the vehicle really easily. The full bumper is a lot better option from a safety standpoint.

T-max is an Australian made winch that everything I have read is comparable to Warn or Superwinch for a lot less money. Only reason I am still looking at Warn winches is because I want the 16.5Ti for my Super Duty.
