Anyone used this front bumper?
" So that's what I have underneath my bumper cover?"
This is what lives behind the bumper cover

If you don't feeling like making a bumper Atlantic British has a real decent price on DA5645 (winch mount bumper) >
And Lucky8 has the DA5683 (no winch mount) again for a decent price

Not having a chance to run through the rover yet I'm a little reserved to spend almost half what was my initial investment on a front bumper. It seems to run pretty good but the PO said the oil warning light was on because of a bad oil sending switch. I've got one coming with a new radiator and valve cover gaskets. If it turns out he was right it'll be easier to justify spending that much on a bumper. Those bumpers look robust I'd like to have one.
I know that feeling.... Budgets and Rovers just do not play well together.
Re: the oil pressure switch, I hope the PO is correct but the odds are low. Just logically, if all it was going to take to turn out the warning lamp was a $15 sensor and about 20 minutes don't you think the PO would have done the repair?
I guess that doesn't matter now and I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but it's VERY COMMON to have oil pressure issues with a DII related to the oil pump gears. Good news is it's not the end of the world to do this repair, and Alex_M did a great write up so take a look. This will be in your near future.

He explained it in a way that seemed to make sense at the time. He's owned it for many years and used it for himself and his daughter while in college. Time will tell. And from what I've learned the oil pump shouldn't be that bad. I hate vehicles that leak oil on my driveway and am probably gonna replace most gaskets associated with leaks anyway.
Welcome to the rover world. You're on the right path, fixing/finding/determining the mechanical value of the rig...before dumping good money into cosmetics. Fancy bumpers will only get you so far. Drive the rig for a few months and go from there.
