am I right in assuming that this Land Rover's RTV? and Form-a-Gasket would work just as well.

Tell us what you are doing? Is this for a pan gasket or intake?? When I did my head gaskets I went ahead and bought the good sealant through AB, and didn't take any chances as I didn't want to be back in there any time soon...

according to the Rave it is used for the water pump bolts, which is why I figured it was just RTV

Loctite 572 on the long bolts.
