Default ARP head stud install question

im ready to start putting everything back together, I just put in my arp head studs and now I can’t put the cylinder head on because of the firewall, am I doing something wrong or should I put the cylinder head on and then insert the studs?

I found the answer to my own question on the arp site, I’m gonna remove them all put the head gasket and head on and then put in the studs

I just did this same thing yesterday.

I was able to have one stud in on the drivers side, but none on the passenger side.

Much happier with the studs...way easier to torque and reusable.

Ya studs are the way to go, this was the first time I’ve ever used them and I will never use stretch bolts again, and I had 100% confidence when I torqued them unlike stretch bolts

You can use a jack and block of wood under the bell housing, and remove the motor mounts, then lower the engine, that'll give you the needed clearance at the firewall.
