ATF and filter
00 Disco.
Any recommendations on tranny filter? Another OEM only part or will aftermarket suffice?
Second, what type of fluid should I go with, I'm not flushing, just replacing whats lost dropping pan to install new filter. 101k miles.
Lastly, how much should I expect on loosing on the pan drop, 1/2-3/4s?

You'll need to drain it one way or the other to avoid a big mess, not all of the trans fluid comes out, some stays in the torque converter. There is a "How To" on this....
Autozone sells a kit with a gasket, filter, and O-ring for under $40, but I have heard mixed reviews about the quality. It is made my Champion. I have that kit in my garage, but I stripped drain plug trying to remove it so I haven't gotten to replacing it yet

6 quarts of Vavoline Extended ATf, 1 bottle of Lucas tranny Stop Leak and any brand of filter.
If you are not aware of how to refill the tranny afterwards, send me your number and I'll call and walk you thru it.
