Post ATF Fluid/PS Fluid

Recently purchased a Discovery 2 with 115k. Referenced this forum a lot, but never registered - it's truly been an invaluable resource. Previously owned a '89 RRC and '03 RR and had all maintenance done on them by a local independent LR shop. Decided to get to know this one a bit more 'intimately' and was going through DiscoMike's 60k service list and noticed that Dexron 3 from Valvoline doesn't seem to be available anymore. Is ValvolineŽ DEX/MERC ATF or Valvoline DEXRONŽ VI ATF a better replacement?

The Lucas ATF additive is the conditioner, not the stop leak, right?

For power steering - what's a recommended synthetic fluid? Does it matter?

Got my front driveshaft rebuilt first thing. Terrafirma +2 is next, with spacers for SLS in back and at the same time diff guards. Also found a '04 CDL linkage at a salvage yard..

According to GM Dex 6 is a complete replacement for Dex 3.

Lucas additive is the stop slip one. I used it, its in the gear oil style bottles.

I use synthetic PS fluid.
