Default 95 D1/ powersteering fluid or ATF ?

I noticed my D1 was low on powersteering fluid so I added some. After reading another thread that said D1s take ATF for fluid, did I screw anything up? I am going to drain it tonight when I get home if need be.

It won hurt anything but consider flushing the p/s fluid with cheapo ATF and then use Valvoline MaxLife ATF (In the red bottle)

Question

Ok, Let me make sure im reading this right, For a Discovery 1, You dont put Power Steering in to your Power Steering... you put ATF... Which stands for Automatic Transmission Fluid... Unless theres another Abbev. For ATF other then that, Then im at a complete lost at why Automatic Tranny Fluid goes into the Power Steering.

Because ATF is *hydraulic oil*. My 87 BMW sixer used ATF in its power steering system, as well; I gather it's not at all uncommon, for non US-manufacture cars.
