Question Is the Autel AL619 the proper scanner to buy ?

Hi.
Planning to buy a scanner to use on 2000 and 2003 Discoverys for OBD2 and ABS. Thought it was the working one but saw this:

----> Avoid or buy ?

Bullet 1 tells me that it will not do ABS. Did you send your VIN to them as they suggest? I presume budget is the reason for this instead of a Nanocom? Remember the the most expensive tool you can buy is the cheapest one you find.

What scanner are you using now? Maybe just add a proven ABS scanner such as the iCarsoft i930. It's an older model but it's proven to access the ABS system. I have used one for years. Might be able to score a used one.

I have an X-Tool (similar to Autel?) for my wife's Subaru. I don't think it supports older LR ABS. I have a Nanocom for my LR's. I've never regretted buying the Nano.

My scanner died and remember from older posts too, the AL619 behaved well for many members owners of Disco2 . Now saw the manufacturer posts being for after 2004.
Perhaps will search for a healthy used one for sale...

The foxwell nt630 is cheaper that the autel iirc and it will read/bleed abs. Have used it many many times for abs issues.
