I don't know exactly what is causing the flashing odometer. I know it will make the digits come on, but I'm guessing you have a sync or other error. It might help in finding your error code, but I'm not sure about fixing it.

I think others that are more knowledgeable about the error you are having would be better than my advice. If they can tell me what needs to be done using a scanner, I can tell you if this one will do it.

Ok, I just found that the CDP+ does NOT sync the BCU and Instrument Panel. It will tell you the mileage on each of them independently, so you know if that's the problem, but it has no where to do a sync. At least that I can find.

ok, ok,,, anyway it looks that make a lot of things more than a simple scanner, including abs diagnostic, and some transmission too... for our Disco's and for other brands...

I am thinking in buying one... maybe in a future update .. it can do the sync of the bcu-odometer..maybe....

thanks... see you around...

Ya, Autocom is indeed a very cheap diag tool in Asia market. Mine 2013.02V came from here

V2014.2 Bluetooth Version Multidiag Pro+ CDP Plus for Car/Truck/OBD2 3 in 1 With 4G TF card without

I am just got it updated into 2014.02, you guess what, runs okay even on win 8.1 OS. LOL

Here's the V2014.02 software download

I also notice that there is a CDP+ (Car and Truck) and ODB2, CDP+ (Car and Truck) and Generic 3n1 with OKI chip.

What is the difference?

I've asked this question before, but it didn't seem anyone knew the answer where I was asking.

Got about $100 burning a hole in my pocket! Need to order one of these things.

I would prefer bluetooth and the cables.

Not sure what the difference is. I purchased the one that Supersport recommended in his original post.

Thanks, they mention something about the red ones being standard quality and the silver being best quality, and the gold being best quality with bluetooth.

But with the broken Chineglish used to make these descriptions, I am going to make my best guess and choose something.

I can't figure out what the "3n1" stuff means. From best I can tell, the "with OKI chip" means it can do late model Fords.
