Default Aux fan will run anytime ac selected on regardless of air temp or coolant temp

Been very warm Here in the mid Atlantic area recently. I’ve been using the ac the unit quite a bit as you can imagine. Noticed the Aux fan will run any time electric power to the Hvac system and AC selected (not in Econ). Coolant temps are below 200 on the ultra gauge. I can go out in the am while temp in the 70’s cold engine and just turn electrical power on, not starting the engine. If I select anything but econ the electric fan will run. Also if in normal hvac mode I select a warmer temp where it will be pushing out heat and not ac the fan is still running. Thinking a temp switch is not operating correctly for the fan? Not too worried but eventually I assume the fan will wear out. Thoughts?

Mine does the same. I have an '03 but the radiator has been replaced and there's no temperature sensor in it. I have wondered if that was the reason, but I haven't investigated. My A/C had a leak so I haven't been running it.

the radiator has been replaced on mine as well. It’s an 04. Not sure if the replacement has a temp sensor or not. Will look into it
