Default Back Door

Ok, I sprayed a can of WD40 back there and it still won't open. Is there a way that I can get to it thru the inside of the vehicle?

Default RE: Back Door

i have an 04 discovery II se and i had the same problem, back door wouldn't open. i removed the land rover badge from the handle assembly and sprayed some grease in there on the latch release. tried it a few times, and finally pop, it opened up!. not sure if this is your problem, or the hinges on your door are the problem.

spray up into the handle from underneath. Try flipping the handle. On mine, it stuck like you were still holding the handle out and it had not retuned to the right position.

I popped the inside of the door off, unbolted the handle and just cleaned it properly then put waterproof grease around all the right bits. I also installed a 2nd return spring for the handle to make sure it always goes back into position, it was sticking up sometimes before that.
