Default back pressure test question

Can I use a compression tester for a back pressure test?

May I ask why you are worrying about your back pressure?

Default stuff

Ive got a few on going o2 issues and the last motor I had was dumping coolant into the exhaust. New o2s all around. Have current going to all o2s and no wire issues that I could find. All o2s are bosch with plugs. Im stumped. Wanted to make sure the cats are still flowing properly.

What codes do you have? With front and rear O2 sensors, the ECU monitors CAT operation. Codes like P0420 and P0430 would be expected if CAT was marginal. And even in Hell, where ice water is in short supply, the State of Texas may pay up to $600 of your repair - http://www.tceq.texas.gov/airquality...le_repair.html

Great info. Good thing is I am in a smaller town in Tx and dont have to worry about the extra emissions testing.

Well, found 2 EO upstream o2s locally for a descent price so picked them up and installed them. Erased codes and drove around for a while. No codes for the first time ever with this truck. Even the three amigos stayed away for the celebration. Hope it stays this way.

FYI Savannah....Ice Water is in short supply here in TX as well.....beginning 4th year of our drought...but at least we can help the poor with their O2 sensors.
