I learned something new today. I had no idea that the DI doors were not steel. Is there a reason they were manufactured that way?

I have to reply to that because of the way the Broncos ended up winning! Could you believe it!?! I am sporting the Broncos shirt tonight when we go out for wings and Sunday night football.

I was about to turn the game off a couple minutes before the end cause I could see the writing on the wall.
We have a long couple years in front of us before we become the team of old.

Land Rovers are made from aluminum today because it is in their heritage, lees aluminum today than yesterday but still.
When the first LR rolled off the assembly line in 1948(still made in the same factory today) all they had to build with was old airplanes which were made from what?
Aluminum.
And every single LR was painted the same color, RAF green, surplus paint from the queen.
So they copied the US Army *****'s Jeep design, improved upon it, made it from surplus aluminum and paint.
When the DII came out because of the hard to work with aluminum they made the doors from steel, easier to stamp than aluminum and better quality control.
As far as the LR3 and LR4 go I do not know what they are made from.

Here is a short fun video to watch.
