I bought these E-Line brakes and put them on a month ago... This pad is chewed like cheese on a cheese grater.. I had issues with this Right Rear brakes and pads before, but not like this..
Should I ask them about warranty? will they laugh and say I have bad caliper??
Otherwise, this brake system stops 10 better than the stock system!! Thumbs up to brake power

Slotted rotors can do that to pads. I've seen it before on my S60R. The best slotted designs I've seen have been tapered edges on the slots to prevent this. New pads are around $40, I'd just replace them.
Did you test the caliper to see if it was seized?

Looks like the wear is uneven (from outside to inside), would suggest the caliper is sticking. Since you have it all apart seems pretty easy to check that...

Had the same issue once, it was a caliper... while its off take a brake caliper clamp and open it up all the way, then have someone pump the brakes and watch It. It should move freely... also the caliper should slide on the pins freely as well... sometimes the problem is pin corrosion.

X2, and another way to check for sticky caliper on the truck is to take a nice long drive, and coast to a stop not applying the brakes. Hop out with your infrared thermometer, and "shoot" each disk. You would expect about same temperature on each axle, side to side. If not, why not? Also, forget rebuild of calipers, once the bore is scored it is toast.

Ya, don't waist your time trying to rebuild, buy genuine Land Rover calipers... one should never cheap out on such an important part like braking components. NEVER

before you go spending money on a caliper check the caliper glides are working correctly. you should be able to collapse them with your finger and they should spring back out. If you have a frozen guide pin that is exactly what will happen to your brake pad. PS your rotors are chamfered as they should be.
I can show you a picture of a pad that looks exactly like yours, the caliper caulked and the top of the pad wore down to the metal and the rest of the pad looked new, even had the same damage at the top one inch of the rotor.

I assume that they would not sell me junk pads to have fall apart quickly.. Here is the set I bought
Front Rear Kit Eline "Drilled Slotted" Disc Brake Rotors Ceramic Pads R111019 | eBay
And I will add another picture that will show the inside pad on that rear brake and it is in good condition...
