Default Barely audible pulsating/low freq beeping sound coming from ABS module

Anyone know why the ABS module would be making a barely audible pulsating beeping sound? No key in ignition and hood up when I heard the sound. No big deal, just curious.

Mine does too, others have reported this also. It stops after a while though.

mine as well... doesn't stop... always keeps going even after not driving for days.

Never seemed to affect the truck negatively though.

I notice it will stop after a certain period of inactivity. I had mine parked for a week and the only time it made that sound was when I locked and unlocked the car and it would take a good while for it to stop...

ALL normal.

There was either a recall or a TSB on this, I cant remember which.
Take it to the dealer and have it fixed for free.
this will run your battery dead.
It is not supposed to last any more than 5-10 mins after you shut the truck off and remove the key.

Spike, I went to the LR dealer some time ago and they charge $180 just to diagnose the problem.

I hope this is normal. What is the recall and TSB?

A recall is a know defect that the manufacture is either forced to fix for free by the Fed's or take it upon themselves to fix for free.
A TSB, Technical Service Bulliten, is a know problem that they may or may not fix for free.
The 2003 oil pump issue is a TSB, for example.
If you go to www.edmunds.com you can look up recalls and TSB's for your car or truck.
