Basic question about 2 inch lift and 32" tires

funny when i go to the OME webpage they list 3 spring MD, HD & EHD

Sorry, I was wrong about OME offering only the HD spring. I deleted the reference.

I meant to say that I was limited to the OME heavy duty version spring due to my rear weight distribution, but went with the medium duty springs in the front.

Maybe ya'll can chime in with this tire question. Here in NE Texas I don't go anywhere with rocks. I don't go to the lake bottom with friends "mudding". I have this tire on the truck now

In the future, if I want to go drop my kayak in the lake, the dirt/clay roads can get muddy after a rain and right now, I would not dare take my truck down a mud road with these tires.

What tire would be good for the 90% of the time I daily drive, and 10% of the time I need to go down a mud road and not get stuck? (not mudding), just a muddy road.

That's all I am really looking for. There when I need it on occasion. I have 18-inch wheels, and am thinking of getting a second set of 16-inch beefcake wheels/tires. just not sure how much I'd ever really use them. I could swap wheels (18 to 16-inch mudder) if I know I'm going, but not sure if it's practical.

you could look at the atturo the lr3 guys are running or the copper zeon LT

Thanks for the info. I added a post at the end sort-of clarifying. I don't really have plans to off-road, but would like to actually "leave the pavement" if necessary and my biggest obstacle is Texas clay that turns to mud to reach the lakeside to drop a kayak.

One thing to keep in mind when changing tire size. When you go to the 32" tire your speedometer will under-report the speed and mileage by roughly 10%. If your trip odometer says you've gone 200 miles, you'll have gone 220. If your speedometer reads 40 MPH, you'll be going 44. Four miles at forty might not get you a ticket, but seven miles at seventy will. Also don't forget to add the 10% when factoring your mileage at fill up time. Your fuel economy will go down a bit from running bigger tires, but not as much as the odometer will claim.

You said the last three pics were of a 275/75/18, did you write that correctly? I ran 275/70/18 on my last d2 with a three inch lift and had to add spacers and trim some stuff. I know they were a 33 inch tire, my calculation tells me that your 275/75/18 is an inch bigger, 34.2 to be exact! Just wanted to make sure of the size becuase I've been looking at a set of the ko2's myself.

I ended up with medium duty front spring and heavy-duty rear springs.

I hope the info will provide you with some good reference points.

I am so sorry. It was a typo. I meant 275/65R18. I have just made the correction to my post.

Do it - drives awesome on that setup and i don't notice any real strain honestly... speedometer off by 5mph (lower than actual) but, it's freaking sweet with that setup.

how much for your paint job? Thas purdy!

Sorry, that's not my truck. Pulled it off the web because I liked the tire look. It is pretty. :-)
