Default Battery & fuse box info?

Hi all

I have a 1997 Landrover Discovery. I would like to know:

-The amount of current drawn from the battery by the truck when vehicle is completely off. Mine is 0.3 amp, which seems high and possibly causing my car unable to start without being charged every week or two.

-The fuse box diagram. I came across it before from downloading some cd iso full of Discovery information. But now just a diagram detailing which is which will do.

Thanks

I think you can find that on a Rave CD, or a shop manual for sure.

Hi

I went to disconnect each fuse and found a drain from fuse #2 in the engine compartment fuse box.

My 97 Discovery manual on page 122 says it is

fuse #: 2
Rating (amps): 20amps
Electrical circuit: Lights

If I don't disconnect it, the ammeter measures above 1-2 amps and seconds later settle down to 0.6-0.7 amp.

Once disconnecting the said fuse, the ammeter reports 0.15-0.18 amp immediately.

The interesting thing is, I still have my head/turn/back/break lights even with this fuse removed.

Further inspection reveals that the physical engine compartment fuse box cover's inside has a fuse diagram, which lists fuse #2 as "sidelights", disagreeing with "lights" printed on the manual. What do you think this is?

Further more, if I remove the physically larger and screwed on fuse labeled 100amps corresponding to the alternator from the engine compartment fuse box, my current leak drops to 0.01. Unfortunately, everyone needs alternators. But it consuming 0.15-0.18 amps when idle, is it normal?
