Default Battery Light on, voltage dropping

Battery light came on. Truck Died.

Jumped Truck, Truck Died.

Put new battery in truck.

Battery light still on.

Volt meter on battery shows voltage at battery at 14.15 but dropping. Now in the 13s

X2 on that alternator. Not sure on a d2 but the RPM's will jump like crazy on a d1 when the alternator is dieing. That is also a clue also that it's the alternator.

If i remember, there are only 1 thick and 1 thinner wire if its the alternator and it can only be installed to the right size stud on the alternator.

When the voltage applied to the alternator/generator side of the ignition/no charge warning
lamp exceeds the battery voltage applied to the warning lamp, the lamp is extinguished. This
shows that the alternator/generator is producing battery charging current.

Goes to alt light to turn it off when alt voltage higher than battery voltage.

Alt light will remain on if wire not attached.
