BECM
Where can I get my BECM repaired for a decent price. I am having a problem with my rear running lights not coming on and I have no dash lights. I haven't troubleshot this problem to the BECM, but I am almost certain that this is the problem.Britrish Pacific claims that theses parts are no longer available and the only way to deal with the problem is to find a used part or have your repaired. Thanks.

RE: BECM
I think you mis-understood me. I was saying that Isounded a moron for asking. I was not calling you a moron. I checked all of my fuses, but I missed one. It was the one that took care of the problem.
I was the moron. Sorry you took it the wrong way.
Also, here is a used one from roverlandparts.com

RE: BECM
discoguy,
Sorry about the reply - I owe you an apology. Aftersome research, I found out that I should replace the fuse box in the engine compartment that feeds the BECM before I replace the BECM. Rover reccomends the replacement of this box every five years. The problem with these boxes is corrosion. The corrosion then leads to shorts - opens - etc. They also say that if you are having ANY type of elec. problem - replace this box first before troubleshooting a problem to the BECM. Also, a bad fuse box will cause a diagnostic to show BECM failure. This could lead to an unneccesary replacement of a BECM.
