Yes, I do have the 6-Disk changer... and I purchased the KIV-701 because it was 'listed' as CD Changer Compatible... I must have not been thinking because when a stereo reads, "compatible", that usually means you need to but a special adapter... So, no I don't have it hooked up - nor have I searched for the adapter... But, since I've burned all my CD's to MP3's, I just plug in a 16GB USB Drive into the USB Extension I have run into the glove compartment or you can interface with your iPod or iPhone...

I switched over to MP3/iPod head units a few years back because it's pretty hard to listen to CD's when you're off-road... The skipping is enough to drive a person insane!

Okay digging this thread back up...My oem rear door woofers the moulding around the edge of the speakers cracked and made this horrible rattling sound...so I purchased another pair of the oem subs from roverlandparts.com, plugged in the new ones and they're not as loud as i thought they would be? barely any vibration at all even after tinkering with the settings on the radio itself...the old busted ones seemed to be pretty loud but maybe its just because they were broken...any ideas?

Is the replacement a HK? You can see/ feel the difference of the magnet. I plugged in a Alpine in the tailgate because the same thing happened to the HK (ripped perimeter). I could not hear it. The Alpine magnet was smaller. I left it unplugged until I either upgrade all speakers or get another HK (used). I did not want to keep it hearing it vibrate.

Phillips... Alpine... Only remember it not being a HK. I have a HSE7 too. Good luck... One thing I did see BPOU wanted $255.00 I believe for a new replacement... Not cheap.
