Default Lug nuts

Is there a lug nut that can be used in place of the factory ones, I recently purchased some new tires and a few had the aluminum caps destroyed in the removal of the tires? I am looking for something solid, no caps. I figure worst case I, can remove all of the caps and paint them silver. Thanks in advance.

I got a complete set of 20 solid lugs (no caps) on ebay for $60. Great value. I like them better than stock because they are solid and won't get messed up like OEM ones.

EDIT: I can't find the listing anymore on ebay. But try contacting this ebay member: http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/usarim/

This is the seller I got mine through.

Do Not buy from E-Bay, if you want the original factory lugs, half the time the caps will be twisted and a normal lug wrench or socket can not be used on them.
Contact Paul Grant, number below, he will sell you good guaranteed used ones that will be to factory specs.

the proper lugs are on ebay and they are solid so you will not have to worry about covers

Most of the aftermarket or "different" lug nuts I had found were based on the thread count and the pitch (don't remember what that is, an auto parts store can tell you). Most were designed for aftermarket wheels and were much smaller than our factory lug nuts which would not fill the "holes" in the wheels or seat correctly when you tighten them down. I found a member here that had some for sale.

Thanks guys, I think the easiest thing to do will be to remove the caps and paint them silver, that way I dont have to worry about fit issues and they are solid.

Do yo know how bad the factory lugs will look with the caps removed and painted, something close to terrible.
Just buy your self a good set of guaranteed used lugs with the caps and make sure you always use the correct size socket and not impact wrench.
By the way our lugs, with out caps will rust.

Rovers North appears to have solid lug nuts:
