Hello,
I bought the same gauge Autool X60 from eBay. I plugged it in my Disco 2 (2003) and getting a failed message ' Connecting Failed'. Did you rewire your Autool to connect. I am only using this gadget for temperature sensor.
Thank You,

Kicking off another little project soon to install one of these just above the t-case shifter.

I'm a big fan of the Ultragauge, but if all you're looking for is a temperature gauge you can get something cheaper.

I think it’s worth spending the extra money, yes you can get a cheap gauge but for how much the ultra gauge does it’s hard to not get one. Mine has saved my butt with temp warnings saving me from overheating . Oil change miles reminders, gas mileage etc

JDMJAY,
Curious if you found a solution to this? I am running into the same issue.

No solution to be had. I have been in contact with hte manufacturer, they changed the software version a while back and now it no longer works on Discos. When I told them about it they just act confused, but I had bought three originally that worked fine, now I cannot get one that works.

This works about every 5th startup (or connection if you unplug and replug), kinda cool, does have a programable alarm.

Go with Ultraguage or an inexpensive wired unit.

The wired unit will take a little effort but it is nice to have something dedicated.

The best thing about the Ultragauge is it plugs into the ODB port. Simple and easy.

I was using an old iPhone bluetooth to an ODB port adaptor. It was frustrating waiting for them to synch and sometimes they would not sych. I recommend don't go wireless..

I have one of the Autools with the wrong software version. Shame since that would be an easy and inexpensive solution. Works on my other cars but not the D2.

I run a cheap 15.00 ELM 327, an old android phone and Torque Pro (5.00) works well with bluetooth. I have it setup to monitor, temps, voltage at ODB port and RPM which lets me know the connection works.

I have 2 secondary screens O2 sensor and fuel trims

You can check and clear codes with it.

I also carry a Foxwell 520 for ABS stuff and Land rover proper code reading
