Best coolant?
Well I'm getting close to having the head gasket job redone and wanted every bodies opinion on the best coolant to use. I was looking at peak global but it's not readily avaliable around me....go figure. I do want a pre mix and will be adding purple ice. I saw some on Toyota red and can get that easily. I'm in central Alabama so the temps vary. Give me some good advice guys and gals.

The best one is anything else when you replace it every 2 years, (which will cost about half of a full tank of gas by the way),

I question, however, why you want to use a pre-mix. My practice and the practice of many here is to flush the system with distilled water until virtually no anti-freeze color is visible (typically 2 to 3 cycles), then drain by dropping the lower radiator hose and filling with concentrate. That gets you very, very close to a 50-50 mix.

I've still have Dexcool in mine, never had any problems with it. I changed it 4 years ago when I did the thermostat and hoses and again 2 years ago when I did the water pump. I think it works fine if you just change it every few years. I noticed that my new 2016 Can Am Outlander 1000 ATV has orange coolant in it. I figured it was Dexcool also.
