yes; you can use a D1 shifter you have to modify the linkage (a bend or two is all).
You will not find a 04 shifter at a Stealer, I think the parts guys bought them all up and sold them on the side for double.
Ashcroft has one that is a copy of the 04 big $$$ (i want to say $500 or something). You can sometimes see a used 04 on ebay but the regularly go for over $400.00.
If you want an accual shifter the cheapest is a D1 conversion, you can get a D1 shifter for $75-$100. There is one other company that has a lever to you attach to the side of you console (kind of tacky) plus everyone who get in the passenger seat is going to want to play with it.

D1 shifter is a good option of you have a good vise and some heat you can bend the dog leg in the D1 cdl linkage to work but it's a pain and i couldnt be bothered trying as i don't have a vise. you can do what i did which is one of the cheapest ways to do it see this thread https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...install-39541/

as already mention the ashcroft is another option the cost of that is $488 from Lucky8 off-road

you can get an electric solenoid which some guys on the forum run. Kit is available from Great Basin Rovers for around the cost of the Ashcroft kit.
