I think the only place the leak is would be the low side O ring on the compressor...only place I say dye.

Would the drier though keep the system from getting cold air to the vents?

ok, replaced the drier, compressor, condensor and condensor fan. Still no cold air and the system IS holding with no leaks. Maybe the thermostatic valve? is there something else I'm missing? I have HALF of the dash apart with hope to open up the air box and check inside.

Also the mixer doors appear to be functioning.

Have you had your expansion valve checked? If that's not working properly (aka stuck closed or plugged), you're not going to get any a/c going through your evaporator.

Thanks for everyone's help! I removed the evaporator (BIG JOB!) and found a clog in the evaporator line. Ordered a new one off line and I am waiting for it to arrive.

if you have a clogged line then you have a broken part. Probably the compressor but yes you want a new drier due to damage.

Finished it two weeks ago and still blowing ice cold air....thanks guys for your help
