Default BG 109, Oil/Filter Change and BG MOA

I decided to take advantage of the warmer day in Denver and do an oil change.
I had never used a "cleaner" product in the 65,000 miles I owned the truck...now 124,000. I have always used the larger oil filters and synthetic Mobile 1 and now Rotella...always highest octane fuel. Thought I would treat my Discovery, because it has been so good to me.
BG 109 was getting nice reviews online...gave it a try.
Add to old oil prior to change, drove around for 15 minutes.
Changed the oil with the K&N HP-3001 and shell Rotella T6 with the BG MOA additive.

Noted:
Checked the old oil prior to adding the BG109...still a little honey colored.
After adding the BG109 and driving, the oil came out blacker than I ever seen before. [I took a little whiff of the 109 while opening...phew, strongest alcohol smell ever!]
[I even noticed the dipstick was clean..PIC] Now imagining the inside of my engine being just like it was back in 2001 when they drove it off the line...it is OK to dream isn't it?

New filter and oil, added the BG MOA and drove a few miles with no issues.
The truck does feel like it wants to accelerate a little quicker,... but then again I feel this way immediately after every oil change.

Anyone used the BG products before?
Keep you posted if you have never used the stuff.

I have a buddy who is a Master Tech mechanic who has had good results with BG products. If memory serves, he'd had amazing results with the transmission additive.

I've never 'cleaned' an engine either, but maybe I should. At the same time, it seems like an engine cleaning additive would have a significant effect on the lubricating abilities of the oil, so I would be freaking out while driving around with it in there.

I have done it, my last oil change.
It slowed my oil consumption, now she only leaks. lol
Rotella 5w-40, Baldwin oil filter.

Bg products is a Kansas company and they make great stuff!

The repair shop is finishing up the head gasket repair on mine tomorrow, anywhere locally (any major parts retailer) carry a "large" oil filter that i should have them put on when they change the oil? And what should i be looking for? The K&N one the best?

Kinda...
The Mobile 1 and the K&N are the ones I have used and can speak for.
I like the K&N because it had the "nut" on the bottom to help tighten and loosen. As for the best? K&N sure thinks they are the best by how much they are.
Paid $15 at Advance Auto today. I wanted to get it done before the cold comes in and did not want to wait for the ones I bought on ebay. $11 each, bought 3 so I have them in stock at my place for the next few changes.
K&N HP-3001
MOBILE 1 301..?

Wix 51515 or Balwin B2.
I've been using Wix and Baldwin/Hastings for about 35 years. Wix more so the past 10 years or so because I was paying <$5 each for them from a local truck parts place. But I recently switched back to Baldwin because I found them online for $3.50 (I think it was) shipped, so I bought a case.
They are both top rated filters.

I used the K&N oil filters but they are too much money so I am now using Napa Gold oil filters.

Dont waste your money on the K&N or Mobil 1 oil filters, they are over priced for what you need.
The K&N is actually made by Champion Labs, which also makes Fram, which is one of the worst oil filters you can buy.
NAPA, Wix, Baldwin or Purolator.
I bought 3 Baldwin oil filters off of e-bay for $15 shipped, a equipment rental place that went out of business, they also fit some Kubota tractors.
