Default bleeding the steering box

I am trying to bleed all the air out of my system. How long is this suppose to take. The wheel is pretty tough to turn. Is this normal? Any help would be appreciated--thanks

No that is not normal. It usually takes a few full turns each way. Are you hearing a lot of groaning while you turn? Do you have fluid coming out of the box at high pressure?

How long has your steering been acting up and why do you think it is air?
