Default Blistiens

I have a '99 Disco II with ACE. I need to replace the shocks and I am interested in the Blistiens. Has anybody used them? Any other recommendations? I drive off road 50% of the or more and they are ROUGH roads (AK).

Bilstiens are VERY good shocks and will last a very long time.
Old Man Emu (OME)are also good shocks.
Either one of those and I think you will be happy.

Both are good shocks, the Bilstein's are 1/2' shorter so if you ever go for a lift that will limit you a little.
Bilstein also states their shocks can't be used with ACE which made me go to OME, and after 6 years I would never use any other shock.

Too bad you've got ACE, if I didn't want the lift I'd go with the Bilstens, shock ware house has an insane deal...

360, with free shipping and 5% off saturdays. That's a steal!

Jabez,
Are you planning to replace your tired springs, especially off road, this is a must along with the shocks.
By the way, the LRRF Store has the OME's for $336.

You know I caught that also about the ACE and then emailed LandRovers North (they sell them0. They said they would fit and work so I am wondering why they are listed as not for ACE. I thought perhaps they would be perceived as being too stiff in conjunction with ACE but I am speculating here.

If you are doing 50% off road, the springs are a must, unless the are light duty dirt roads.
Here is your link, http://www.lrrforums.com/store/index.php
