Default Block pressure test? psi?

Hi all, I have a 2000 d2 with 177k. Tested positive for exhaust gases in coolant. I took the heads off yesterday and the gaskets looked OK. Nothing obvious. I set up a pressure test for the block and was wondering what psi I should charge it up to. Thanks!

Just bolted some scrap metal and rubber over the coolant ports. Made one with an air fitting so I can hook up to a gauge and valve. No leaks, going to order gaskets and bolts tomorrow. Nothing to lose except time and money!

That's awesome. Did you keep the water pump as is or have to block it off as well? What bolts did you use? If you have a picture that would be awesome of the plates / rubber.

I'm in Seattle. The block held pressure and passed the soapy water test. Did you have a similar experience?
