Default blown speaker

So my right front passenger door speaker is blown. Need to replace it. Anyone have a "how to" on easy removal and replacement? Where to get the replacement, etc.? I have the infinity system upgrade in my '03 disco.

Thanks

I would try Paul Grant, I bet he has piles of speakers. There are a couple vids on Youtube about removing the door card to access the speaker. Pretty straight forward.

If you're only replacing the one I'd just get a used factory speaker. Probably 15 bucks shipped. The door panels arethe best attached panels I've ever seen. LOTS of plastic pop rivits. I used a sturdy paint scraper to slide way in behind them and prised them off after removing the screws of course.Since they're so cheap, If I had to do it again I'd order some replacment Plastic rivits before I started because I broke a bunch of mine getting them off, and had to just put them back on with less. Couldn't ride around for a week without the panels. I'm not that gangsta...

And that upper speaker i the front doors is attached to the panel so be careful to not break the little terminals on it while pulling the panel off. the wire running to it only give a few inches of slack away from the door itself. The bottom speaker will stay with the door itself when you remove the panel.

groovy fellas.

Thanks for the info...I'll order more rivets...recall, I'm the 1st recipient of the doom-kauff award, so I don't wanna hold the coveted award for another week by forgetting to do something or not have enough rivets on hand!

get a factory.
You want the same impedance which is resistance in AC terms.

Otherwise, one will be more efficient and louder than the other.

Audio - like your ears - both should be the same.
