Body electric control module replaced — odometer flashing
Hey everyone. I recently had an issue with my passenger window that required replacing the body electric control module. I was advised that the unit is no longer in production by Land Rover, and sourcing a used unit was the only course of action to restore window function. An inexpensive operational unit was sourced, and all was well.
Except, according to the tech, the units are VIN-specific, and the chassis sees a discrepancy between the mileage of my Disco and the mileage of the new unit, which causes the odometer to flash. Upon further exploration, it was learned that mileage cannot be passed over to a new module.
The odometer is functional and advancing through additional mileage, just flashing as it goes. It's not a terrible problem, but wondering if this is actually true, or if any of the experts here have heard of this issue or a potential solution before.
Thanks for any help in advance!

Hi RoRover
What was your window problem?
Ive just had the dash out on my D2 and now the front passenger window blows the circuit fuse.
I’m just starting to learn about the BCU and hoping my problem is simple wiring issue, but interested to hear your issues as part of my diagnosis.
Cheers!
