Default Installing heated seats in a Disco S and rear spring plate bolt sizes.

I looked in the RAVE and I couldn't find anything. I'm making some 2.5" polyurethane spacers to go under the rear spring plates and I need to order some replacement bolts. What is the specs for the factory bolts so I know what to get to replace them.

Completely unrelated, but I didn't want to make two threads at once. I read that all D2s fitted with leather seats have the heating elements and working built in for heated seats, just no plug. My '04 SE parts truck has leather seats, but no plugs behind the window switch panel. There is, however, a green plug behind the panel on both the '04 parts truck and my '03 'S model. I'm curious what that is. I hooked a switch up to it and turned it on, but nothing seemed to happen. Any ideas?

My 00 came with leather seats and without the switches. Purchased the switches and panel off ebay. Plugged them all in and they work great.

Yea, my understanding was that all of them with leather seats were like that, but I can't find the plugs back in there leading me to believe they're not to be found.

Under the console, behind the window controls. There was one green plugs. There were two or three other plugs, but they were all plugged into other plugs. However, on my '03 S There was one 4 hole plug under the seat that wasn't hooked to anything.

Under the panel is one green and one black plug for the seat heaters..

If you have an S model, you shouldn't have heating elements, but I have seen 2 S models with heating elements, so... Who knows.

Huh, well I didn't see a black plug in either, but there was a green in both. I'll check again. Nothing seemed to be exactly how it was supposed to be on any of these trucks. Haha

Update: I found the black plug, so I took an extra HDC and Emergency Blinker plug that I had, trimmed down the little ridges, and hooked them in. I turned them on for a few minutes and nothing seemed to heat up. Are the buttons different or will I have to move the seats from the SE truck and just have the upholstery switched? (the leather is tan and I have black)

Update 2: I watched the Rovers North video. It says to check for the module under the seat. I checked and it's there, fuses under the seat are fine, everything is hooked up. Any ideas?

Also, is there any way a mod could rename this thread for those looking for heated seat info in the future?
