Bosch +4 Plugs
I've heard from some that the Bosch +4 plugs created misfires with the 7MM wires.
Can I run 7MM wires or do I need to upgrade to 8MM to run the Bosch +4 plug on my 03 Disco?

I'm in the minority here, but I see no point in running Bosch platinum or NGK Iridium or any other such plug in these trucks. For crying out loud, it's 1960's technology! It's not a new BMW M powerplant!!!
I just run the cheap Champion plugs it calls for. They've been fine. I've spoken to other enthusiasts as well as LR Master techs that also don't see the benefit in running high-performance hotter-firing plugs like that.
Same thing goes for synthetic oil... I think it's a waste of money in these trucks! Just buy a quality dino oil and change it regularly. Royal Purple in a Land Rover? Seriously? ROFLMAO Maybe in a new supercharged RR...

You need the 8mm for the extra insulation to protect the wires from the heat that is dispersed from our aluminum blocks.

everyone has their own opinons when it comes to fluids but for wires get 8mm kingsborne, STI or Magnecore

2 weeks ago, missfire on jeep, brand new wires/bosch platinum plugs. #1 plug infinite resistance. replaced with autolite, miss gone.
1 week ago, random/multiple missfire on Disco 2, brand new wires/bosch platinum plugs. All plugs varied from 5k (ok) to 33k (21, 18, 30,) (bad) ohms resistance. Replaced with autolite, miss gone.
Anything but bosch!

As with most things everyone has an opinion.. I have the the Bosch plugs as well as magnacore 8mm wires... I have had no problems at all. In fact with doing the rest of Mikes' service suggestions I have increased my mileage. SO do your research make choice and enjoy your truck. If you do go with bosch and have a problem or do not, let us know. This is the best way to keep all informed and the opinions going...
I run NGK Iridiums, one plus is they will last longer than your lower grade plugs, less maintenance is always a good thing. I know that i have had the same plugs (NGK Ir) on my F150 for +60k and they show little to no signs of wear.
I installed Kingsborne 8mm wires & Bosch 4+s almost a year ago & have seen no issues.
Although the dealer recently tried to tell my insurance company I needed factory wires & plugs because I had incorrect after-market wires & plugs. Which in the end it was just the B-1 S-1 O2 that was somehow damaged in a recent accident. The dealer earned the nickname given to them many times by others: Stealer-ship.
