Default Brake Light with Amigos

I did the option B amigo fix almost a year ago and everything has been great until now. Now when I start my rover the brake light along with abs are immediately lit followed by the tc and hd.

I've read that the brake light can be caused by low brake fluid. Checked and I was halfway between max and min so I topped it off, but didn't seem to fix it. My brakes are a bit worn and I have new rotors, pads, and ss lines ready to go on as soon as I finish finals. I don't feel like that'll fix it either though.

My scanner is showing P1590. Any quick fixes?

As far as I know, the brake light is only caused by the actual hand brake (doesn't seem like you have a bad switch) or low brake fluid (sensor could be dying?). If the sensor isn't sending a signal I wouldn't be surprised if it would cause the HDC/TC/ABS to come on.

Happy hunting.

The electrically connected (wired) brake pads cause a brake light to illuminate if worn too thin/low, if option is fitted. Also pressure failure in the servo or master cylinder I believe.

That's all I've been able to find too Zebra.

Haven't seen anything about wired pads Offroad. I'll have to look into it.

Besides the squeal of worn pads my braking is actually pretty good. Good enough I can't really imagine it being a master cylinder pressure problem

Had the same problem, for me it was a wheel speed sensor.

How did you know which one to replace?

I checked the resistance on each one. I forgot what it is supposed to be, it's somewhere in these forums and probably in the rave. I just checked all of them and changed the one that was different than the rest. Also. make sure that you put some grease on the sensor when you put it in. When I canged the sensor the brake light went away then I did option B, falconworks seals, and a good flush and no more lights.

As an aside, Falconwaorks appear to be the only outlet internationally for the shuttle seals which are OTT pricewise. WABCO refused to sell me them directly.

Wabco is one of the ****tiest companies I've ever dealt with. I wouldn't give them a dime even if I had to. Falcon works is fantastic. I used there kit and never had to open the abs block again.
