Default brake light out

My drivers side brake light bulb is out, I am sure I can figure out how to get it out and what size it is on my own without too much effort, but I was hoping someone on here could save me some time by telling me how it comes out, which bulb it is in the housing, and what the bulb replacement number is (if anyone knows off hand). I do have the jump seat and the rear air.

Thanks

hope this helps, brake light is second one down from the top, there is a very small access panel next to the jump seat, remove that and you will just barely be able to get your hand in there, if you can turn the bulb holder counterclockwise....you are doin'n good, mine had welded itself in there and I had to remove the entire assy to replace the bulbs......to do that there are 2 nuts holding the whole thing in....mine were 5/16" ( or 8 mm) but I have heard some say theirs were held in with wingnuts. I believe that the bulb is a 1156. Mine was such a pain that I replaced them all while it was apart

that is awesome (not that yours was a PIA, but your info) I really appreciate it, problem is my rave manual is not opening (not sure if it is adobe or the file itself) so I would be messing with it until I get it right! thanks for all the help!

I was having problems with the Rave manual too. I downloaded it again from Land Rover Resource and it works fine. (website says it works on all operating systems. works on my iMac)
Don't know about yours, but on my 99 Disco 1, the brake light bulb is a P215W. The base is different. I'd like to replace all mine with LED, but they're not cheap.

I tryed the LED route, the bulbs were cool but the flasher went nuts and I havent made an attempt to locate a heavy duty one, it's my understanding that the LED bulbs have less resistance causing the flasher to blink faster ??
