Brake Lines to Hoses
The front left (drivers side) brake line goes to a rubber brake hose... my old hose snapped so I bought another and took the old one out (easy, as it was already in two)
now I am stuck because both sides of the rubber hose must be turned right, and the brake lines do not move, so the hose will not turn as it would have to be twisted at least 5 times
Nothing is moving for me (could be because everything is old), is something supposed to move? Do I need to purchase a universal adapter that will allow me to install the hose?
Any info is greatly appreciated

The fitting on the truck side should turn so that you can tighten it without twisting the brake hose.
Or maybe you need ro remove the caliper from the truck so that you can un-twist the brake hose?
I do not know without looking at it, I am just throwing ideas out there.

Never touched my LR brake linesbefore, but try hosing the fitting down on the hard line at the truck side with a rust buster like PB blaster, that might get it to turn.
Had my dad (i'm only 17) take a look, and he said take the short brake line from the hose to the caliper off of the caliper. This end has a flare so It twists without twisting the hose.
Neither end of the hose has a couling that turns, neither end of the lines going to the hose will turn...
If anyone needs any help with this (in case this isn't clear) just let me know
Also GOD DAMN does my land rover have a huge difference in braking power after doing this and bleeding the brakes, I HIGHLY recomend bleeding your brakes if you don't know when it was last done, or if it has never been done

Tom-do you have a owners manual for your truck?
LR recommends doing a complete brake fluid flush every two years.
Also you truck requires premium gas, just in case you didnt know.
I plan on switching to braided brake lines in the future. I have heard that this will improve braking a TON.

I put all new fluids in (except transfer box), and flushed brakes + cooling system when I put new radiator in
and 93 octane is all I put in, once as an experiment I put 87 in twice and it ran like ****
and I would have done braided brake lines this time... I just have no cash, spending 10 bucks at the junkyard was my only option
Thanks for all the advice
I strongly suggest you change the fluid in the transfer box. The PO of my Disco drove it with low oil level and I now have to do a swap with a working unit, since my old has started to grind itself to bits.
