Thumbs up Brake master removal on D2

Here is what i did for my D2

Tools 13mm open wrench and socket- towels, drip pan- hope your brake booster holds out!

here it is on all its glory

Close up

Remove left side brake lines- you will need something underneath to catch the brake fluid

remove the right side nut

remove the left side nut

What it should look like after its out

Pull the metal bracket to get the cylinder off

Leaky grommets

Grommets removed and holes were cleaned after the fact

New grommets

Assemble the reservoir to the cylinder ensuring the wire is over the tab

Re-install the unit making sure the shaft inside goes back into the cylinder , all the brake lines and nuts and add liquid and bleed

Sadly for me my brake booster made a popping sound and now i hear air being sucked in... so more money ill get to spend now.

and my car got hit not too long after i got back from buying brake fluid.

Default

anyone know the size of the two thin rubber "o"rings, my brake booster is leaking from there.

to note, i also did not have a visible "o"ring when i removed the unit.
