Default brake pads

Rave says to install new pads with chamfer toward leading edge of disc. How do I tell what the chamfer is? Is the leading edge toward the front of the truck? I'm doing my first
brake job & i don't want to screw it up. Wife's threating to call a tow truck.

So oneend of the pad is kinda pointed and the other is flat? The narrower end would go towards the front of the trk.

Thanks, I just want to get it right. I'm doing the rotors too.
AB ferodo kit. I'm gonna bleed the hog after everything is in.
Seems pretty straight forward but if I don't do it right the wrath ofmrs.will be upon me.

I can tell this is a new truck for you. Most of us, having had our Discos for awhile have learned about good Rover Karma. Call your truck a HOG again and you will pay the price.
By the way, the pads only go in one way, make sure to use lots of sound deadening spray and apx. 3 pints of DOT 4 to bleed the brakes.

DMike is right, tell her she doesnt look fat in those tires and that you still love her, rub her behind the mirror and a kiss on the hood and you will have a good long relationship.

hahaha! i guess this is the downside of owning a disco. eventually the wife will think that we love the truck better than them (i may be right in some cases). and the reason the discos have above normal maintenance requirements is that the wife is always sabotaging the truck to get back at it!!!

i don't have a garage. me and my baby do it outside the house and with me usually on top and inside her. but with all the dripping going on under, shes gonna want to be on top soon! for now i just tell her i don't wanna get that dirty yet. were on the street for heavens sake! nyahahahah!!

Wife does get jealous when I buy new things for the "mistress"
& none for her. All is forgiven when Disco brings her home from the ranch whenall the F250s are afraid to go out& get their feet wet.
