Default Brake Pads

Anyone have any suggestions on a brand and/or material for the P38's? Also, I've read some descriptions of brake pads that say they have a "brake wire lead" which I'm guessing is a wear signal of some sort. Other pads make no mention of this. Any input is appreciated.

Check out either Atlantic British or DAP for brake set up. Do you need rotors? Some Rovers have wire leads, some don't, depends on the year and maode.

To check and see if yours has the wear indicators, just look at your brakes from under the vehicle or take a tire off.
On my 94 RRC LWB the passenger rear brake is the one with the wires.
If you go to Atlantic British get their OEM replacement pads; they will have the correct configuration for your vehicle.
I just ordered a set from them for mine and they look like nice pads.
Get the hardware kit for them also. My hardware is so corroded that the rear brakes weren't even moving anymore!
