Default brake resorvoir leaking

My brake resorvoir started leaking from the bottom. I have to keep putting brake fluid every four days. Is there an o-ring that I can replace the bottom with? If so, do i need to bleed my brakes again if i try to replace it. Thanks.

Yes, there should be an o-ring and yes, you should bleed the whole system, after all, when was it last done?

How low are you letting the level get before you top it off? If it is getting too low you could be sucking air in to the system which is very bad. Once air gets in the lines, when you apply the brakes the the air pocket compresses and prevents the brakes from applying.

Default brake resorvoir

i start toping it off when it goes in its bare minimum level. That should be fine for now right until i replace the o ring? Where can I get this O ring from. Would I able to get this in any auto parts store or do I have to go to a Land rover dealer>?

We just recently bleed the brakes when we changed the brake caliper about a couple of months ago. I just started noticing that the brake resorvoir leaking about a week ago. So far the breaking is not a problem. I just have to just check the brake resorvoir every two days or so.

Lightbulb Brake reservoir leaking

I have a '96 Disco and my reservoir began this same issue 3 months ago. I have slowed the leak by using zip ties to compress the reservoir to the master cylinder for a tighter fit.

I did not know about o-ring replacement. Look forward to the answer on where to purchase these.
