Default Brake rotor recommendation

I already ordered Akebono brake pads, which were recommended here a lot. I am still undecided on rotors. Are the slotted and drilled on lucky8 (Terrafirma?) worth it or should I just go with plain OEMs? I go mostly overlanding, fully loaded and with kids, but not severe offroading, not driving through deep mud or dirt.

I have had good luck with the powerstop one, I have been using their slotterd, drilled ones for a couple years. use them on other vehicles, incl a gls450, which is super heavy and I drive it at 100mph all the time.

Powerstop stuff on my Kalahari and zero issues. Stops great. Got everything from Brake Motive on Ebay for around 235.00.

I have a set of Brembo UV coated rotors installed within the last few months. No issues and the rotors are still clean.

Have these as well and happy with them. Definitely perform better than stock. Be cool if they stayed black !

I have never been happy with drilled rotors on anything I have owned. Slotted: yes, Drilled: no. Right now I am running slotted rotors from DBA with some nice heavy duty hawk pads. I really need to flush the system and replace the flex lines

Eventual cracking. The drill holes are big stress risers for the brake rotor. Over time, the thermal cycles that a rotor experiences will cause cracks to develop around and through the drill holes.
